Installation
WHAT YOU NEED:
Fine Tooth Metal Tip Comb
Brush
Hair Clips or Hair Ties (Optional)
PREPERATION
STEP 1 - SIZING
Lay out your Manetini clip-ins to find which size matches the right area of the head is a great way in making the installation easier and faster. The first clip-in should be wide enough to sit along the back bottom of your hairline. Next, snap open all the clips so they are ready for installation.
STEP 2 - BRUSHING
Always brush all the hair completely making sure there are no knots or tangles. Next, use a fine tooth metal tip comb to get out any remaining knots.
STEP 3 - SEPARATE & SECTION
Using a metal tip comb and brush, section the hair into 3 sections. (For example: 2 on top, 1 on bottom). Divide hair horizontally starting at the lower section of the head (Nape of neck).
INSTALLATION
STEP 4 - CLIP & SECURE
It is important to clip or tie up and secure any remaining hair that may be in the way of the sections for fitting the clip ins.
STEP 5 - WHERE TO BEGIN INSTALL
Manetini Clip in Hair Extensions should always be installed starting from the lower bottom section of the head. Beginning from the lowest point on the hairline, using a metal tip comb, create a part where you wish to section off the hair.
STEP 6 - BACKCOMBING OR TEASING
It is an important step to backcomb or lightly tease the roots of the hair selected for clip in installation. By doing this, you assist the clips with an extra hold which prevents slipping.
STEP 7 – PLACEMENT
Always starting from the bottom and working your way up, next take the proper clip-in for the area selected and insert the opened centre (middle) clip on the extension, just below the part into the teased area. Snap the clip shut and repeat from the middle working your way out with the remaining clips. Make sure to pull the extension tight between clips to prevent gaps.
Next, let down the hair that was clipped or tied out of the way and create a new part. Comb down and separate about a half inch layer of hair between each clip in layer. Repeat this process and make sure to always clip and secure any remaining flyaways. This should be done for each layer.
STEP 8 – SECURE ANY GAPS
Once all the extensions are attached, feel along the clip ins to make sure it lies flat against the scalp with no gaps. If there are any, unsnap the clips, open and lift it up and off the hair repositioning it so that it lies flat.
STEP 9 – FRAMING THE FACE
Position & install all 4 single pieces in and around the temples so it brings the look together by framing the face. Blend with your own hair.
REMOVAL
STEP 10 – REMOVING CLIP INS
To remove Manetini Clip-in Hair Extensions, section hair as you would during the install. Take your section and unsnap the clips starting from the centre clip working your way out. Once all clips have been opened, gently lift up and away from the scalp. Take a fine tooth comb and gently comb out any knots in the root area. Repeat. Never remove a clip in without opening all the clips first. Once all clip-ins are removed, brush hair throughly.
